UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARCTIC DATA PAYROLL SYSTEM

 Enclosed is the Arctic Data Payroll System Update,  for January 1, 2003.

**** Please carefully read these instructions, in full, before proceeding ****

Improper installation could result in lost or corrupted data

Installing the Update:
  1. Click on download button. Save the file to the directory which contains your payroll program and data.
  2. To install the update follow these steps:
    1. Go to your Payroll program directory
    2. Copy pay03_01.exe into the Payroll program directory and extract it.
    3. Run the payroll program, you will be advised that your data is not from this version, press enter to continue with update.
   3.    Update program changes, as follows, for each client used:
              a.  Select 7 (Configuration) from the Misc Functions
              b.  Select 3 (Update Program Changes)
              c.  The system prompts you through the update.

    4.   Once the update program changes selection has been run, install the Tax Tables,
           as follows, for each client used:
               a.   Enter the province or territory that pertains to you. You’ll notice that the top
                       of your screen should now read January 2001 Tax Tables.

Your payroll update has been successfully installed if:

The Version number displayed in the top right hand corner of the main menu screen
 reads 5.74

2001 should display in the Payroll System Selector box.

You run #3 (Calculate Payroll) from the main menu and the screen reads:

Calculate Payroll January 2003 B.C. (indicates which provincial tax tables in use)

4. You run M (Misc. Functions), 7 (Configuration), 2 (Check Existing Configuration) and
     the system displays the message: system checks ok, <CR> to continue
     Once you have completed steps 1, 2, and 3 the Payroll program is ready to use again !
