Electronic Mail

Arctic Data Corporation knows that effective staff communication is important to any business success; that's why we designed the Blue Diamond Optometrist system with an electronic mail component. Electronic mail can be used to notify users that are logged onto the system of phone calls, meetings, or other messages. E-mail can be sent and received from anywhere in the system. A tone notifies users that they have impending mail. After reading the mail the user can print, reply to, save, or delete the message from their private mailbox.

The electronic mail feature also has a chat mode option which is particularly handy for relaying messages to optometrists when they are in their exam rooms. It enables two users to engage in conversation via the computer. When the chat mode is activated, the screen splits in two and as each user types the output is displayed on both screens.
